Headquartered in the UK, Careology works with some of the leading players in cancer care, and is now
rapidly expanding into the US. We are looking for an ambitious and driven VP Business Development to
lead our business development activity in the US.
The Role- The role is focused on establishing US provider and health-system relationships, whilst supporting growth opportunities into the payor channel through our strategic partnership with Evolent, a $2 billion revenue company focused on achieving better health outcomes for people with complex conditions.
- This person is expected to have an established network of senior level relationships in provider channels and equally comfortable generating growth through large NCI-Designated Cancer Centers through to community oncology organizations.
- The role will be responsible for leading all aspects of the sales process, including systematic prospect targeting, development of opportunity-specific sales strategy, and selection of supporting teams and "quarterbacking" the entire sales process. This individual will build and maintain strong sales pipelines and forecasts associated with substantiated opportunities, prepare, and facilitate presentations/proposals as well as close sales and finalize agreements with customers.
- The individual in this position will have all the necessary resources to be set up for success for this career opportunity that provides a competitive base salary along with an incentive compensation plan. We are looking for a candidate that has a proven track record selling within the healthcare industry. This is a highly cross-functional role that will collaborate daily with our sales operations, growth marketing, analytics, finance, product, and engineering teams.
- As a full time, permanent employee part of a highly ambitious global team, you will work collaboratively with Marketing, Product and Development teams as well as closely with the rest of Careology.
What will you get involved in?- Building and executing sales strategies, establishing the US sales process and conversion rates to deliver predictable revenue.
- Working closely with Marketing to create, maintain and manage a pipeline of qualified opportunities.
- Developing, improving, and embedding sales playbooks, scripts, and sales decks.
- Designing and owning a cadence of sales governance including forecasting, pipeline management, and monthly reviews.
- Tracking performance against targets, reporting on key KPIs and activities, and utilizing internal meetings to escalate issues.
- Owning the full sales cycle from outreach to contract closure.
- Owning the renewal process, maintaining our 100% renewal rate with the Customer Success Team.
- Building relationships with decision makers and key executives in all verticals and within our partners.
- Motivate operational change at your clients through ROI models, current/state future state maps and case studies.
- Maintain accurate meeting notes, pipeline, forecast, quarterly business reviews, mutual action close plans and MEDDIC reviews.
- Upon securing new accounts, design an overall strategy to drive the growth of the account with the Customer Success team.
- Partner with Careology’s Implementation, Customer Success, Product, Development and other functional teams internally to manage flawless delivery and scale the business through high customer satisfaction.
- Achieve your annual Sales target by building and maintaining a 3x pipeline in Hubspot.
- Prospect and secure meetings with key stakeholders in the assigned portfolio of top 100 Stakeholders US accounts and be able to confidently engage them in a discovery process to understand their highest priority business challenges in the delivery of cancer care.

We know brilliant people can come from a wide range of places, the key thing for Careology is drive, ambition, personality - and a few of the following:
- BA or BS degree or equivalent.
- Experience selling within the Healthcare sector (with specific cancer care being a great advantage!)
- 10+ years SaaS Sales experience and proven track record.
- Experience selling to large healthcare providers and health systems, with a strong understanding of the broader ecosystem.
- Experience selling software with a web-based demo approach is essential, but with a willingness to travel nationwide to meet prospects and clients face to face and build trusted relationships.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex sales cycles - acquiring both new clients and expansions.
- Customer focused: You will influence and partner with our most important accounts and bring value to the work they are trying to accomplish.
- Action-oriented and organized: Proactive mindset that bridges ideas to implementable solutions, and can help move both internal and external stakeholders to quickly solve problems.
- Results-focused: Have the ability to develop deep relationships with CRO/Sponsor stakeholders and have shown a proven ability to navigate multi-faceted Customer organizations with repeated success. Thrive in fast-paced and high-performance environments.
- A leader: Can set an agenda that is aggressive, but realizable, and wins followers with a positive and energetic approach to work and life. Gets energy from solving difficult problems.
- Clear communicator: Shows exceptional project management, articulation of issues and an ability to navigate Careology stakeholders across teams to solve problems.
