The opportunity

We have an opportunity for a Marketing Executive to join us on the exciting and rewarding path we are taking here at Castle Trust Bank. We pride ourselves in being a fintech challenger bank, providing online savings accounts, specialist property mortgages, and retail finance lending and to a variety of customers. 

Joining our small, talented Marketing team, you will play an important role in supporting the growth of our savings, property, and retail finance business units. The role involves managing all email activity and supporting the provision of marketing content, campaigns, communications and events. You will work closely with the Head of Marketing to identify opportunities, propose solutions, and drive initiatives forward.

  • Email Management: develop and manage all email activity to ensure engaging ideas, design, engaging content and campaigns that support lead and sales generation within financial promotion requirements. Provide performance insight and implement improvements to ensure optimised performance.
  • Campaign and Content Management: develop, provide support for, and implement other financial promotions and campaigns for acquisition, retention, and development, including improvements to the website, and content to support internal teams. Conduct campaign performance analysis, present findings to management, and propose recommendations.
  • Product Communication and Marketing Materials: update existing product communications, marketing materials (both online and offline), and promotional activities. Recommend and develop new marketing materials as needed.
  • Customer and Market Insights: build a deep understanding of customer behaviours and needs for savings, property, and retail finance. Monitor market and competitor activity to provide insights and recommendations.
  • Project and Relationship Management: lead and implement new initiatives. Manage third parties and agencies for marketing activities. Work closely with internal departments to build strong relationships.
  • Event Coordination: coordinate and oversee external events such as roadshows, webinars, exhibitions and promotional events, providing supporting marketing materials.
  • Design and Implementation: provide input on the design of customer-facing system outputs and assist with implementation. Undertake graphic design and video activities, managing overflow to third party agencies as necessary.

The role will be on a hybrid working arrangement, 3 days a week from our Basingstoke office and the rest of the week from home.

What we are looking for in you…

What is important to us is that you have proven broad marketing experience, ideally within financial services or banking with an understanding of financial promotion requirements. You should have proficiency in developing and managing outbound email campaigns using CRM platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Campaign Monitor, Hubspot, Mailchimp, etc. Digital marketing expertise is crucial, including website maintenance and performance tracking using Google Analytics, SEMrush, etc. Experience in writing copy and producing diverse marketing materials for various audiences is also essential. Competency in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and/or Canva, and experience in video editing using Adobe Suite or similar is also needed to be successful in this role. It would be desirable if you have experience in managing business-related social media accounts.

What is also important is that you have strong communication skills with the ability to influence business stakeholders effectively, adapting your style according to the audience, situation and moment. Considering we are a small team; you will need to work effectively as part of a team whilst being able to act independently with minimal supervision. You will be managing multiple projects and priorities to it is important that you can efficiently schedule your workload and manage expectations. In an ideal world, you will have knowledge or an understanding of the markets that we operate in.
