We are looking for a Registered Dietitian to join our team of devoted caregivers. Within this role, you will work to assist patients to gain the skills they require in order to manage their specific diseases. You will be responsible for working with patients and families regarding intestinal failure and nutrition support. Caregivers should have prior experience in an acute care/ICU, ambulatory setting, gastroenterology, surgery and parenteral nutrition support.
Your primary duties will include:
- Developing nutrition care plans for patients with intestinal failure and intestine transplant requiring inpatient and home parenteral support.
- Managing oral, enteral, parenteral nutrition and medication interventions for intestinal malabsorption.
- Working with patients between both inpatient and outpatient settings.
The ideal future caregiver is someone who:
- Experience in acute care, ICU, gastroenterology, colorectal or intestine transplant surgery and long term parenteral nutrition management.
- Strong interpersonal, problem solving and communication skills.
- High level of multitasking and ability to navigate stressful situations.
- Works well in a close-knit, team building environment.
- Currently a Registered Dietitian with 3+ years of experience, Licensed Dietitian, and currently a Certified Nutrition Support Clinician.
