Join the Classavo Team! We're Hiring an Instructional Designer Specialist
Location: Remote
About Us:
At Classavo, we’re redefining how education works for professors and students alike. We design tools that make teaching simpler and learning more engaging, all while keeping it affordable. Whether it’s customizable textbooks or interactive classroom features, we’re here to empower educators and help students succeed.
We’re looking for a dynamic Instructional Designer Specialist who can juggle both customer-facing sales efforts and create engaging learning materials that help educators succeed. If you’re tech-savvy, creative, and ready to take on the role, then we want you on our team.
Role Overview:
As our Instructional Designer Specialist, you’ll play a key role in generating leads, nurturing relationships, and supporting our growth strategy—while also designing and developing interactive, engaging learning content for professors. You’ll bridge the gap between sales and instructional design, working directly with educators to promote our platform and help them make the most of our tools. This is a unique hybrid role where your ability to engage potential clients and create impactful learning experiences will be put to good use.
What You’ll Do:
Instructional Designer Specialist Responsibilities:
Prospect & Lead Identification: Research and identify potential leads within educational institutions, targeting the right audiences using market trends and segmentation.
Lead Nurturing: Build relationships with leads, guiding them through the sales process and setting up product demos.
Outbound & Inbound Engagement: Reach out via email, phone, and social media to engage with prospects and schedule demos.
CRM Management: Maintain detailed records of all sales activities and interactions using CRM tools like HubSpot, Airtable, and Apollo.
Relationship Building: Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with professors and institutions to increase customer retention and loyalty.
Design & Develop Learning Materials: Create engaging, interactive instructional content that aligns with Classavo’s mission of enhancing learning through innovative tools.
Collaborate with Educators & Product Team: Work closely with professors and our product team to design custom content, tools, and resources.
Tech Integration: Use EdTech tools and platforms to develop seamless learning experiences for professors and students.
Evaluate & Improve: Continuously assess the effectiveness of learning materials, making improvements based on feedback, data, and best practices in instructional design.
What We’re Looking For:
Skills & Experience:
Sales Experience: Previous experience in sales, lead generation, or customer-facing roles (preferred but not required).
Instructional Design Experience: A background in creating instructional materials, curriculum development, or educational technology (preferred but not required).
Tech-Savviness: Comfortable using tools like HubSpot, Airtable, Asana, and other CRM systems. Familiarity with eLearning tools like Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or LMS platforms is a plus.
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages for both sales and instructional content.
Collaboration: Ability to work across multiple teams—sales, product, and content—while balancing the needs of customers and educators.
Creative Mindset: Passion for making learning engaging, and a knack for simplifying complex ideas and creating solutions.
Organization: Excellent organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
Ideal Background:
Current or Recent Graduates: Familiar with academic environments and excited to jump into both sales and instructional design.
Ex-Teachers/Ex-Professors: Passionate about education, with a strong understanding of educational systems and a desire to support other educators.
Curriculum Designers or Instructional Designers: Experience working in educational design and content creation, with a strong understanding of eLearning tools.
