About the role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Executive - Sponsorship Sales to join the Climate Action team to work on our highly regarded, sustainable innovation and investment conference portfolio. The successful candidate will be a passionate advocate for our products, have a track record of success in sales, and have an interest in sustainability or climate change.

We are seeking an individual who has a minimum of 1 – 2 years experience of a telephone sales role where they have achieved and exceeded targets. The ideal candidate will have 1 years experience working in B2B event sales, ideally working in the Climate change, sustainability or renewable energy space, selling high value event sponsorship.

We require an adaptable team player, who can learn quickly, with prior training on a consultative sales process. The successful applicant will demonstrate a keen interest in shaping a climate and nature positive future, whilst having background knowledge on sustainable business practice, ESG, energy and financial markets.

 

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Understanding clients needs and matching their needs with our solutions
  • Securing new clients, based on their alignment to our events in order to maximise revenue and value for both parties
  • Management and nurturing of existing relationships
  • Re-engaging past clients
  • Achieving and exceeding monthly sales targets
  • Achieving and exceeding daily KPI's
  • Managing a sales pipeline document and CRM system for reporting purposes
  • Forecasting business accurately on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Gathering product and company feedback from clients and prospects
  • Rebooking clients on site at events, following our rebook process
  • Travelling to events to manage sponsor relationship and help deliver high-quality, impactful events.

 

The successful applicant will have:

  • 1-2 years experience in B2B sales, ideally in a B2B events, climate tech or carbon credit sales.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding sales targets, showcasing the potential to drive revenue and secure high-value sponsorships
  • A solid and proven track record in selling high value partnerships or products to blue chip brands
  • Ability to sell conceptually and credibly with a consultative and research based sales approach
  • Enjoy being challenged and engaged in a KPI driven environment where a % of your total earnings are performance based
  • Experience of using CRM systems and an appreciation of their importance
  • A genuine interest in working in a mission focused, for-profit business, addressing the greatest challenge of our time – Climate Change.
