Local Robot Delivery Specialist

About you

You’ve a strong bias for action and you enjoy getting things done with an eye to continuously look for opportunities to improve processes and systems you use on a day today basis. You also enjoy hands-on problem solving and possess exceptional communication skills. You are comfortable in conducting basic mechanical and electrical maintenance routines on devices as needed. Finally, you’re a flexible thinker: ready to adapt your processes to the rapidly-changing needs of a fast-growing startup.

The role

The Local Robot Delivery Specialist focuses on getting devices ready for daily operations along with take-down at the end of the day. You will maintain our robots, retrieve damaged or out-of-service robots in a timely manner, as well as help diagnose and, in cases, rectify mechanical and electrical issues as they arise. The Local Robot Delivery Specialist works closely with the local fulfillment partner and is in constant communication with central operation teams to execute different aspects of their responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transport robots to partner location and set up in time for daily operations

  • Ensure damaged robots are retrieved quickly, properly, and work is documented

  • Transport robots back to the housing location at the end of each night

  • Ensure batteries are charging and robots are cosmetically sound for the next days opening shift

  • Provide high quality hand deliveries to customers for robot orders that were not able to be completed by a robot.

  • Manage existing hub POD additions based on launch calendar, in conjunction with any new Bot deployments

  • Work on SOPs as related to field operations and complete daily tasks assigned to you via FO App.

  • Following proper procedures and protocols regarding App use and daily responsibilities.

  • Provide a great customer service experience for our merchant partners and customers.

Basic Qualifications

  • Based in Culver City

  • Available to be on call and fulfill part time shifts.

  • Highschool diploma or equivalent

  • Prior work experience

  • Valid Driver's license

  • Smartphone experience.

  • Available to work weekends and holidays.

  • Available to work Mornings and Nights (Between 6am and 2am)

  • Experience problem solving mechanical and/or electrical devices (preferred but not required)

  • Must be able to lift 60 or more pounds

  • Must feel comfortable driving large pick-up trucks and vans.
