THE POSITION:

We are looking for a Commercial Manager for FanDuel Casino to lead our integrated marketing and product strategy from a commercial perspective.

The role will work closely with acquisition, brand, and content/product delivery teams to define and set targets, monitor performance, and challenge existing ways of working to drive long-term, sustainable growth. This is an influential role that requires developing strong relationships with key stakeholders and managing cross-functional timelines - the ideal candidate is an effective communicator and knows how to get alignment across teams. The role will have a commercial analytical focus that includes managing the evolution of our internal reporting tools and building investment justifications when required.


THE GAME PLAN:


Everyone on our team has a part to play


  • Deeply understand the performance metrics of the business, constantly challenging the status quo as to whether performance is at the level we expect.
  • Be a change agent within the organization, driving both incremental process improvements and large transformational initiatives.
  • Constantly review the entire P&L, particularly the cost base, and provide strategic recommendations to the commercial leadership team to drive the business to a higher level of profitability.
  • Effectively communicate performance trends and delivery timelines to the leadership team.
  • Work closely with the acquisition & strategy team, brand & product marketing leads, product managers and tech delivery managers to set targets, develop our value proposition, and monitor progress.
  • Input into the Casino product roadmap, assessing the commercial impact of new developments and/or features.
  • Assess new investment ideas for media, product, and branding, including identifying opportunities, developing business cases to support the decision process, and building action plans.
  • Work closely with insights teams to drive action from deep dives into key areas of the business, ensuring that it is shared in a digestible and tactical format.

What we're looking for in our next teammate


  • 4-5 years’ experience in commercial strategy, consulting, or customer intelligence/insights functions.
  • Strong problem solver, ability to break complex problems into simpler, smaller ones.
  • Strategic Mind-set: takes a long-term view and anticipates future trends and implications.
  • Be able to work at a fast pace when required, with the ability to drive collaboration and progress between cross-functional teams in a short timespan.
  • Knows how to lead meetings and build persuasive, effective presentations to influence others.
  • Collaborates: is a team player - works with the team and stakeholders across the organization to get things done.
  • Commercial acumen: advanced understanding of business principles and the levers.
  • Understand the different components of a P&L and is familiar with forecasting and budgeting.
  • Understand the fundamentals of traditional and digital media marketing (subject matter expertise in linear TV, paid social, and affiliate marketing a plus).
  • Experience in retail gaming, online sports betting, or iGaming preferred, but not required.
  • Experience in SQL or analytic tools (e.g. KNIME, Tableau) a plus.
  • Experience managing and leading a high performing team a plus.

The applicable salary range for this position is $99,000 to $136,000 which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs and market demand. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation.
