Overview:The RN Specialty Coordinator offers patient care through the coordination of resources and technical assistance. This position entails developing, evaluating, and aiding in patient care under careful supervision, with a focus on enhancing quality, efficiency, reducing costs, and solving multidisciplinary issues.Responsibilities:Helps the assigned specialty to achieve its strategic goals by identifying chances for enhancing quality and reducing costs.Evaluates therapeutic strategies for intricate patient scenarios to assess reactions to therapies and modify treatment plans as needed.Assesses the team's performance in comparison to department objectives to offer valuable input and coaching.Coordinates departmental orientation, training, and professional growth initiatives to ensure that staff abilities meet patient requirements.Creates department schedules and organizes daily staffing operations to optimize patient flow effectively.Carries out additional responsibilities as required.Qualifications:EDUCATION:Required:• Bachelor's of Science - Nursing• Legacy/Exception: Associates Degree in Nursing acceptable for employees in role on or before 8/12/2024.EXPERIENCE:Required:• 2 years as a Registered Nurse and 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizationsLICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:Required:Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact stateBLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
