Overview:This position is responsible for contributing to the development, execution, and monitoring of communications to reinforce the external communications plan for Cone Health, as well as established marketing priorities. Acting as the Cone Health Newsroom's in-house correspondent, this team member will promote organizational events and facilitate communication between the organization and external stakeholders in our service regions. As needed, the assistant may be required to perform other responsibilities.The intern program starts on January 29, 2024, and ends at the conclusion of April 2024.Responsibilities:DUTIES• Top University Announces Major Investment in Research and Development.• Gather stimulating interviews that can be leveraged across a multitude of communications channels for Cone Health.• Assist in the design and production of marketing collateral to ensure consistent messaging and branding.• Contribute to the successful execution of special events through coordination and planning.• We work closely with our clients to understand their vision and bring it to life through our photography and videography.• Delight your social media followers by regularly updating your Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn profiles with fresh, valuable content.• The Director of Communications has the power to assign me with other tasks.SKILLS• Excellent written communication, editing, and organizational skills are a must for this position.• Understanding the AP's style guide is crucial for journalists, as it provides clear and concise guidelines on how to write effectively and professionally.• Having experience in filming and taking pictures can be beneficial.• Demonstrates proficiency in handling stressful situations while maintaining an optimistic demeanor.• Microsoft Office applications are an integral part of computer skills and are important for any job.• Familiarity with social networks, including Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Google+, is now a widely-recognized prerequisite for success in the digital age• Companies expect their employees to have a working knowledge of PCs and Microsoft Office so that they can seamlessly complete their tasks• Being able to handle several tasks simultaneously and still maintain a structured routine.Qualifications:REQUIREDBachelors DegreePREFERREDBachelor's Degree in English, Journalism, Public Relations preferredEXPERIENCE:Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experienceLICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:REQUIREDNot applicable
