Commercial Analyst (AU Global Education, Hybrid)

Salary: P100,000 to P120,000 (Monthly Package)

Schedule: Monday – Friday (9:00 AM - 6:00 PM AEST)

What are we looking for?

Skills Required:

  • At least 5+ years of experience as a technical business analyst or data analyst, Management or Cost Accountant, or FinOps analyst.
  • Knowledge and understanding of AWS pricing schemes.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and advanced Excel skills is required. A keen interest or familiarity with data visualization techniques, such as PowerBI, Tableau, etc., is also advantageous.
  • Experience in automating data flows, and reporting.

Nice to Have:

  • Excellent written and oral communication abilities. The ability to prepare concise, and outcome-based analysis, guidance, and action plans.
  • Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail and accuracy

What will you do?

  • Technology Cost Analysis- Conducting an analysis of individual consumption and subscription contracts, as well as usage patterns, to identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Accountability Model- Collaborate with Engineering teams, business owners, technology owners, and vendor managers to implement the identified optimizations.
  • Consumption Cost Visibility and Cost Attribution- Ensure that actionable cost and utilization information is accessible to the relevant stakeholders. Provide oversight regarding compliance with attribution (tagging and other metadata) standards and design.
  • Cost Incident Management- Detect and investigate cost anomalies.
  • Consumption Cost Allocation and Budget Administration- Oversee the allocation of Cloud and other usage-based costs to the business, following our established attribution rules, ensuring everything is tracked smoothly and efficiently.
  • Consumption Cost Training and Unit Economics- Facilitate and execute training sessions for Engineers and other personnel responsible for operational decisions that influence consumption costs. Deliver Unit Economic reports that correlate consumption costs with the most pertinent business metrics.
  • Consumption Procurement Management and Optimization Initiative Tracking- Oversee the identification, acquisition, and renewal of these procurements. Ensure awareness of cost optimization initiatives and furnish stakeholders with updates on opportunities and progress.
