Are you ready to make an impact by bridging the gap between technology and business? Reitmans Canada Limited is seeking a dynamic Senior Business Analyst to join our team. Reporting to the Director of Application Development, you will play a key role in driving strategic business decisions across all functional areas of our organization. Acting as a trusted partner and liaison between IT and business users, you’ll help identify opportunities, implement solutions, and align people, processes, and technology to achieve organizational objectives.

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will:

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with key business units (HR, Finance, Payroll, and Store Operations) to identify areas for improvement in end-to-end processes.
  • Partner with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and prioritize business requirements while considering technical feasibility, timelines, and business impact.
  • Evaluate and assess system releases, upgrades, and configuration options to ensure seamless integration and alignment with key business functions.
  • Analyze and document current business processes, workflows, and roadmaps to propose clear and actionable recommendations for an ideal future state.
  • Serve as a key resource in troubleshooting system issues, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing technology-based solutions to optimize business operations.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members during onboarding and when new tools and features are introduced.
  • Lead collaborative discussions with business partners across departments to drive alignment and deliver improvements that meet organizational needs.
  • Conduct research to identify trends, best practices, and opportunities to enhance operational efficiency using technology-driven strategies.
  • Leverage your expertise to support stakeholders through complex decision-making processes with a focus on practicality and value.

Qualifications

To thrive in this role, you’ll need the following qualifications and skills:

  • A university degree in Business Administration or equivalent field of study.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in a related field (required).
  • Familiarity with timekeeping systems (strong asset).
  • Demonstrated analytical and troubleshooting expertise with a track record of implementing effective solutions.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel;
  • SQL knowledge is an asset.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • A collaborative mindset with well-developed skills in communication, teamwork, and cross-functional partnering.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive problem-solver who thrives on delivering results and driving continuous improvement.
  • Fluency in both English and French (required).
