QA Test Analyst (AU Retail, Hybrid)

Salary: PHP 80,000 to P120,000 (Monthly Package)

Schedule: Monday – Friday (06:00 AM - 03:00 PM Manila Time)

What are we looking for?

Skills Required:

  • 1-2 years of experience in Software Testing or similar role
  • With deep understanding of QA
  • Understands the uses and methods of testing
  • Internal systems – SAP R1P/BW/CRM, ONet, SuccessFactor
  • Experience with Testrail, JIRA, Confluence
  • Experience with a relevant eCommerce platform such as Websphere Commerce or alternatives
  • Excellent knowledge in testing skills (design test plan and test strategy, writing test cases, executing test cases, opening bugs, verifying bugs)
  • Understands agile and the core principles associated.

Nice to Have:

  • ITIL certification desirable.
  • Automated test suite [Nightwatch & Selenium]
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics or similar analytics products
  • Worked in or alongside a software development space ideally with exposure to eCommerce platforms
  • Experience working in or alongside professions such as Production support, helpdesk or digital project teams would be advantageous.

What will you do?

  • Ensures product quality and customer experience by verifying the intended scope is executed in the right way and at all appropriate junctures of implementation of a solution.
  • Engaged at the start of a build they ensure quality standards and check in advance to prevent bugs along the development process, not just find them after completion. Using their domain knowledge and thorough end-to-end testing, they are the gatekeeper for features / initiatives to make it to production.
  • Specifies, develops and writes test plans and test scripts, produces test cases, carries out regression testing, and uses automated test software applications to test the behavior, functionality and integrity of the company online environment, and documents the results of tests in defect reports and related documentation.
  • Use knowledge around our development standards, release requirements, analytics / tagging they build & execute tests to ensure all features / products are submitted to production with minimal bugs or defects.
  • Understand the needs from a customer experience perspective allows them to validate the customer interactions whilst looking for bugs / defects from the development side to align back to the intended scope & requirements of the implementation.
  • Continually optimize the development pipeline, they are always looking for ways to automate their test suite for maximum efficiency.
  • Use both their preventative & corrective skillset they will allow us to get to production in the quickest, safest way possible.
  • Communicate with technical & non-technical team members to explain challenges, optimization & defects that need resolution.
  • Use outputs from test cases they will help problem solve from a code perspective but also where customers’ needs are not met, or the customer experience is not sufficient.
  • Builds test cases that are suitable for manual testing needs, but also to feed automated test suite packages.
  • Knowledge of the company's online architecture & our software development standards to perform the satisfactory testing for safe release standards.
  • Builds a suite of reports to enable appropriate team members to address the findings – Developers, Designers or business analysts. These need to be clear on whether they are defects, versus, scope issues or problems with the customer interactions.
  • Good understanding of our programming languages to assist in the interrogation of code.
  • Works directly with key stakeholders to ensure user acceptance testing is signed off prior to any production deployment.
  • Identify and track defects through to resolution ensuring they are resolved prior to any release to the production environment unless a workaround is accepted.
  • Actively participate in the production verification testing and is always looking at ways to automate, optimize this process.
