Convelio is a licensed freight forwarding startup evolving at the intersection of Tech, Logistics and the Art World. The startup specialises in the global shipping of high-end goods: paintings, sculptures, basically any valuable or bulky merchandise.


We've developed our own proprietary algorithm to offer competitive real-time shipping quotes and an end-to-end logistics service to the art market. Our mission is to become a tech-driven company in a traditional industry, and therefore make the shipping of bulky and valuable items as easy as possible by providing an online and seamless experience.


We currently serve a wide range of customers from art galleries, antique dealers, auction houses, online platforms to interior designers.


With 130+ colleagues scattered across Paris & London and now New York as well, Convelio has a strong start-up & international culture. We thrive in solving complex logistics issues for our clients, enabling both sellers and buyers in the art market. We are backed by proven technology, prominent VC’s, and boast a global network and the resources (€30 million Series B funding in March 2022) to seize the market opportunity



🎩 Your Role:


You’ll join our US team, reporting to the Sales and New Accounts Manager, and own your outreach strategy for US galleries.


Your core objective is to bring clients from a starting point, where they may have never heard of (or never tried) Convelio, to a point where they become regular happy clients.


You’ll work autonomously on your strategy to engage the accounts (e.g., in-person visits, organizing events, sharing content, calling, recommendations, ..)


A deep understanding of Fine Art logistics operations is required to perform in this role to allow the candidate to engage more deeply with our prospects and be the bridge with our operations and better understand their needs. We’re open to profiles who already have this expertise, but also to candidates with a passion for Fine Art but have never worked in operations, and in this case we will provide with a deep training in the form of a full-time immersion of at least 3 months in our operations team).


This position is full-time and based in NYC, as multiple in-person interactions with clients and prospects are expected.


✏️ What you'll do:


Sales outreach:


- Build your own development and outreach strategy together with your manager.


- Calls and visits: you’ll create your own outreach calendar of phone calls and walk-in visits, by leveraging on your research on your prospects.


- Indirect activation of the target base: engagement of the target base through events, diffusion of publications, or any other creative solutions you’ll think of with your manager. We’re very open to creative ideas.


Solution building:


- Match with Convelio solutions: Understand in details which challenges Convelio can solve for the client and match them with the best option for a win-win solution.


- Detailed operational process: lead the construction of detailed client knowledge and ad-hoc processes for each client that will our allow our Operations Team to handle each client’s logistics operations seamlessly.


- Product set-up and improvement: Onboard the client on the Convelio’s platform, setting them up so that they can make the most out of it. Liaise with your colleagues in Product and Tech to propose technical solutions when appropriate, as you’ll be the expert on what your clients need.

Convelio remains an agile start-up despite our growth, and quickly adapts to the market and clients’ needs. Our Engineering team also continually develops new features that need to be tested operationally and improved and can transform the ways of working of the operational team.


Nice to have but not required:


- A first experience in a sales role managing a high volume of outreach messages, calls, and visits.


- Industry / operational knowledge: Experience in the execution of international shipments for the art market.
