Offshore healthcare staffing agency seeks IT Specialist. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in protecting our IT infrastructure, managing key digital platforms, and enhancing the user experience across our web and training systems. This role supports the agency’s mission to streamline operations for healthcare providers globally.
Key Responsibilities
Cybersecurity
• Design, implement, and maintain the agency’s cybersecurity strategy to protect sensitive client and employee data.
• Monitor for and respond to security threats, vulnerabilities, and incidents, including phishing, malware, and unauthorized access.
• Conduct regular audits, penetration tests, and vulnerability assessments.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare data regulations such as HIPAA, GDPR, and ISO standards.
• Develop and enforce cybersecurity policies, procedures, and staff training programs.
• Manage disaster recovery and business continuity plans to protect against data loss.
LMS Management
• Oversee the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of the agency’s Learning Management System.
• Manage user access, roles, and permissions for the LMS platform.
• Ensure the LMS is functional, user-friendly, and aligned with training objectives for staff and offshore employees.
• Integrate the LMS with other platforms, such as recruiting software or employee portals.
• Provide technical support and troubleshoot LMS issues for users.
• Evaluate and implement updates, upgrades, or alternative LMS solutions as needed.
Website Deployment and Management
• Lead the deployment, maintenance, and optimization of the agency’s website, ensuring a seamless user experience.
• Manage hosting, domain configuration, and SSL certificates for secure and reliable operations.
• Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to update content, features, and functionality.
• Monitor website performance and troubleshoot downtime or technical issues promptly.
• Implement best practices for website security, accessibility, and SEO optimization.
• Coordinate with external vendors or developers for advanced design or functionality needs.
IT Infrastructure Management
• Maintain and optimize the agency’s IT systems, including cloud platforms, servers, and software.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for both on-site and remote staff.
• Monitor system performance and ensure network reliability and security.
• Manage IT inventory, including hardware, software, and licenses.
Policy Development & Compliance
• Develop IT and cybersecurity policies aligned with industry standards and business objectives.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and internal operational needs.
• Conduct staff training on IT systems, cybersecurity awareness, and data handling best practices.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT, with expertise in cybersecurity, LMS management, and website deployment.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or similar are highly desirable.
Technical Skills
• Proven expertise in cybersecurity tools, protocols, and best practices.
• Experience managing and optimizing LMS platforms such as Moodle, Blackboard, or similar.
• Knowledge of website deployment, CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress), and web security protocols.
• Proficiency in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and IT support tools.
• Familiarity with healthcare IT systems and regulatory compliance (e.g., HIPAA).
Soft Skills
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects effectively.
