Job Description

CRD Careers has partnered with a leader in the building materials industry in their search for a proactive and detail-oriented Purchasing Assistant to support their fast-paced procurement team in Yonkers, NY.

If you're a logistics-loving, Excel-organizing, vendor-wrangling pro with an eye for accuracy and a passion for keeping things moving behind the scenes, this is your kind of role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with daily purchasing operations, including order entry, invoice processing, and supplier communication

  • Maintain accurate inventory records and manage product data in procurement systems

  • Track shipments, follow up with vendors, and resolve delivery or quality issues

  • Support vendor onboarding and maintain supplier compliance documentation

  • Collaborate with warehouse, accounting, and project teams to ensure smooth operations

  • Generate reports and assist with cost analysis and product forecasting

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain coordination

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
