Senior Business Manager

As a Senior Business Manager, you will oversee all business and legal aspects of production. As a master multitasker and collaborator, you will partner with our incredible team of content creators and account managers as you work together to execute on our client’s brand goals. From bid to wrap, your involvement is pivotal to the process. You will formulate (and issue) production estimates on the fly, collaborate with Client cost consultants, maintain and preserve all production files, and deliver production contracts to their respective parties.You are an ideal candidate if you have business affairs management experience within an advertising agency or content production company. You also have demonstrable knowledge of content licensing and talent usage rights and how both relate to contract development.You Will• Negotiate/ review third-party bids, licenses, and contracts with account managers• Collaborate with account managers, creatives, and other teams throughout the production process• Adhere to appropriate Client budgeting and contractual guidelines by working with cost consultants• Ensure compliance with client guidelines and SOWs (statements of work)• Advise Agency teams and Clients on union rules, regulations, and best practices• Create and issue appropriate contracts, insurance, licensing and talent agreements, and vendor POs• Consult legal counsel on issues including contract templates, risk assessment, and indemnifications• Assist account managers in preparation of production estimates• Flag possible legal, clearance, talent, and/or logistical issues and help navigate solutions• Estimate costs of talent sessions• Issue non-union talent agreements and foreign-talent contracts• Liaise with third-party talent-management companies• Negotiate, prepare, and review a variety of agreements, including but not limited to: celebrity contracts, music licensing, and influencer agreements• Oversee vendor set up and payment process in partnership with the finance departmentYou Have• 5+ years in the marketing industry measuring digital campaigns.• 5+ years of experience in Business Affairs at an advertising agency or Production Company with high-scale output• Working knowledge of SAG-AFTRA rules and how they apply to contracts and expertise in managing 3rd party signatory services with regards to non-union partners engaging SAG services• Experience with both U.S. and international productions• Able to communicate clearly and effectively with all levels of Agency and Client personnel• Proficiency and efficiency managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environmentWhat We Offer• Maternity and parental leave extra days• Competitive benefits packages• Vacation, compassionate leave, sick days, and flex days• Access to online services for families and new parents• End of year closure days (not deducted form vacation balance)• Diversity and Inclusion Board with 12 affinity groups• Internal learning and development programs• Enterprise-wide employee discounts• And more…At Critical Mass, we value our employees and offer competitive compensation and benefits packages.
