The Role

Reporting into the HR Operations Manager and working in collaboration with the wider HR Team to ensure we provide the best support for our People, delivering HR operations as well as strategic goals that cover the whole employee lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing complex HR issues and escalated cases so that employees and managers are supported during performance management
  • Building and managing relationships with stakeholders to ensure good employee relations exist and support delivery of the HR plan across all areas of the business
  • To provide detailed data analysis to local and group stakeholders. Identifying key trends, suggesting and driving short-term and long-term initiatives
  • Evaluating and reporting on the operational impact of HR metrics to ensure that HR services are delivering with value for money and are effectively supporting business performance
  • Working closely with L&D to identify training needs and assist them in aligning training programs with business objectives
  • Working closely with the Talent Acquisition Manager to ensure the company’s workforce has the right size, shape, cost and agility for the future
  • Take an active role in leading succession planning activities including calibration through business partnering, to ensure talent is developed for the future
  • Provide guidance on the creation and implementation of HR processes and policies
  • Always maintain data integrity, and proactively share data-centric updates with internal stakeholders
  • Encouraging and supporting a culture where employees are consulted, recognised and rewarded accordingly for their contribution, to promote employee engagement
  • Promote adoption of technology, self-service, change management and continuous improvement
  • Maintaining a broad knowledge of strategic HR best practice to ensure the business can benefit from new market trends and developments within the HR profession
  • Take the lead on ensuring day to day HR operations are compliant, effective and aligned

Essential:

  • HR Business partnering experience, working with senior stakeholders with a commercial and practical mindset, seen as an expert in field
  • Strong generalist HR content knowledge across HR operations, succession planning, reward, employee relations talent management, succession planning and performance management – knows what good looks like and latest trends
  • Substantial experience of complex employee relations cases with the ability to identify business risks before providing recommendations
  • Ability to build immediate connections with people who have multiple priorities that might be different to yours as well as good influencing skills
  • Experience in working in a multi-skilled HR function, working with others with specialisms across talent acquisition and L&D to deliver HR objectives
  • Strong adaptability, flexing style and approach to work with individuals with multiple and differing priorities
  • Solution oriented with innovative problem solving that enables pace and shows good business acumen
  • Track-record of successfully coaching and developing senior managers on people matters and complex employee relations matters
  • Confidence and gravitas to present at senior level
  • Partnering with stakeholders to create people related solutions that drive a high performance culture and builds strong employee engagement
  • Good understanding of HR technology and how this can be utilised to improve performance, process and engagement
  • Strong analytical skills. Able to analyse data from multiple points translating this into compelling business data coupled with recommendations on short and long term solutions
  • Superb attention to detail, right first time approach with the ability to ensure HR Operations delivers effectively and seamlessly

Desirable:

  • Level 7 CIPD qualification
