About the role

We’re looking for an experienced backend engineering manager to help drive and evolve our product. Our technology is new and rapidly evolving, and you’ll be an early contributor with a substantial impact on the architecture. You will be solving multiple exciting technical challenges, work cross-teams and cross-functionally and along with the founding team and CTO.

Locations: Bucharest, Romania
Focus Area: Event & Content Processing.

What you’ll do

  • You will lead the Event & Content processing backend team

  • You will design and optimize a large-scale, highly scalable, and fault-tolerant system that handles large graph datasets at enterprise scale in realtime. Instances of our product are processing billions of events from tens of thousands of endpoints in real-time with sub-second latency requirements

  • You will be solving real-world scaling problems that require thorough performance analysis and troubleshooting skills

  • You get to work with a modern and constantly evolving microservices-based software stack which includes Go, Kubernetes, BigTable, BigQuery, Spanner, Redis, Docker

  • You will write secure-by-design hardened software that must withstand real-world attacks, while processing untrusted data and communicating with tens of thousands of endpoints over the internet

  • You will architect and implement Security products to protect customers data

  • You have a strong track record of building highly successful backend teams shipping services that are actively used at large scale

  • You have experience developing & maintaining reliable & scalable services  

  • You are hands-on and highly technical and have a track record of excellent execution as an individual contributor

  • You have experience in designing and extending the application’s architecture

  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and you can be available to frequently communicate with distributed teams in Europe and US

  • You enjoy the flexibility of a remote job
