Forward Deployed Engineer

DeepJudge is an AI-powered legaltech startup founded by three ex-Googlers and AI PhDs with a mission to empower legal teams to harness their internal data to make strategic decisions. With DeepJudge Search we are bringing SOTA information retrieval technology to internal document collections of large corporations, law firms, and government agencies.


We are looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to join our dynamic team.

You will work with our customers to define and execute project plans for their DeepJudge deployments, ensuring the successful and ongoing integration of our product into various platforms, such as document management systems, Microsoft SharePoint, and more.

The ideal candidate possesses a strong technical background, excellent interpersonal skills, impeccable attention to detail, and advanced written and verbal communication skills.


Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with customers to understand their technical requirements, provide solutions to complex challenges, and assist with hands-on technical tasks when necessary, in collaboration with our engineering team.
  • Plan, coordinate and manage implementation project plans from initiation through completion, ensuring timelines and customer expectations are met.
  • Provide technical support during the sales process, including answering and resolving technical queries and assisting with the completion of security questionnaires. 
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in implementation and contribute to the development of best practices.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with prospective and current customers, acting as a technical advisor and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to relay customer feedback and contribute to product development.
  • Assist in the creation of technical documentation, such as product manuals, FAQs, and integration guides.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and technological advancements in enterprise search and AI.


Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a technical implementation role, preferably in the enterprise software, legal technology, search, document management, or related AI sectors.
  • Understanding of Linux system administration, Kubernetes deployments, database administration, and / or Software engineering.
  • Understanding of legal document management systems (iManage, Netdocuments, M-Files), and Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams) and knowledge of additional legal technology platforms, such as HighQ, is a nice-to-have.
  • Proficiency in articulating complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven track record of building customer relationships.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment, managing multiple priorities with excellent attention to detail.
  • Willingness to travel as required for customer meetings and presentations.
