They are directly responsible for both client and employee retention and their performance is directly reflected in our P&L. These individuals are our power players, proactive strategists and relationship-builders with deep Content Marketing and SEO expertise. Your goal will be to manage performance for our growing portfolio of clients, support your team of Strategists, and ensure our clients are feeling the value of our partnership.Role and Responsibilities:• Goal Setting: Associate Directors are directly responsible for setting the goals for every client engagement in their portfolio and ensuring that Strategists are pacing towards NSM (North Star Metric) attainment.• Data sources include Google Analytics, CRM data, SEMRush reporting, and client CRMs like Salesforce, HubSpot, or Marketo.• Reporting and ROI are foundational to our methodology and we consistently report to clients on these important metrics.• Best Practices: Associate Directors are directly responsible for ensuring that every one of the Strategists in their pod are following best practices across all channels and mediums. In particular:• Financial modeling - understand historical performance and forecasting the impact of the client’s investment• Customer generation - we care about revenue, not just leads• Share of SERP - there’s more opportunity than just the 10 blue links• Content production - creating unique and engaging content that has an impact• Innovation & Experimentation: Associate Directors should always be on the hunt for ways to incorporate new technology and methodologies into our content and SEO programs, such as generative AI and programmatic SEO. You should also be curious about experimenting with new content formats, search environments and distribution channels.• Breakdown Barriers: Every great SEO & content marketing strategy lives or dies at the moment of approval. It’s your responsibility to understand these moments and support your team of Strategists in earning a yes.• Ensure roadblocks are a part of every 1x1 conversation with Strategists, and that an action plan is established to take down any roadblocks for the success of the strategy.• Accountability: We need leaders, not managers. Nobody wants a manager, everyone wants a leader. Build structure, create a cadence, support proactively, and empower your team with clear and concise communication + expectation setting.• Executive Presence: The Associate Director will play a pivotal role in delivering the agency's thought leadership and driving high-level client engagement. This individual must exhibit executive presence and exceptional communication skills, adeptly translating complex strategies into compelling narratives for marketing leadership and C-suite stakeholders. They will serve as a trusted advisor, confidently presenting insights, recommendations, and performance outcomes while fostering strong relationships with clients.
