Trainer, Front End Systems

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Trainer, Front End Systems. This is a hybrid position that can be based at the following Eaton PDCA locations: (1) Arden, NC, (2) Fayetteville, NC, (3) Greenwood, SC, or (4) Sumter, SC. 

 

The expected annual salary range for this role is $93750.03 - $137500.04 a year.

The primary function of this role is to drive the development and implementation of consistent training programs for the use of Eaton’s Engineered-to-Order (ETO) Front End Systems tools. In addition, this position will be a change agent, collecting feedback and working with the ETO product lines to ensure tools are used as expected, enhanced to meet their needs, drive knowledge sharing and collaboration. This role is also responsible for contributing to the oversight and enhancement of Front End Systems tools for the division, recommending improvements to drive productivity, streamline onboarding and corrective actions to drive quality improvements through automation.  This includes defining requirements, acceptance testing, scheduling of training and rollout, documenting specific plant processes and first level support of issues. This position is expected to have a detailed knowledge of all engineering related systems and processes in the division, including Bid Manager, MI Manager, Design Automation, DCMS, POM, ENOVIA, MAPICS, AutoCAD and other site-specific tools.

 

Relocation is not offered for this position. Candidates must reside within 50 miles of an approved work location.  Approved work locations include the following PDCA facilities: (1) Arden, NC, (2) Fayetteville, NC, (3) Greenwood, SC, and (4) Sumter, SC.  

 

 

What you’ll do:

 

  • Work with the ETO product lines to develop product line specific training documentation on their use of the engineering software tools and processes.  In doing so, understand their current usage of the software tools, identify gaps in knowledge and opportunities for improvement in tool usage, user experience and automation of manual tasks.
  • Participate in monthly meetings with ETO product lines to understand key metrics and opportunities for training and development in support of software systems and tools. 
  • Develop and lead user training efforts on Front End Systems software tools, including, but not limited to Bid Manager, MI Manager and Design Automation.
  • Drive consistent use and understanding of Design Automation modules across the ETO product lines.
  • Participate in product line meetings on Front End Systems projects and continuous improvement activities, driving best practices and knowledge sharing across the various teams (engineering, design and systems)
  • Maintain Front End Systems turnback/enhancement database (SharePoint tickets) and related Change Management processes, coordinating priorities with various stakeholders and team members.
  • Support requests for core enhancements to software systems, including justification of business needs, requirements gathering and maximizing benefits across the ETO product lines.
  • Support defect resolution for ServiceNow (SNOW) tickets through error recreation and documentation through interactions with product line engineering teams, systems developers and IT developers.
  • Support quarterly onboarding of new hires through introductions and gauging the effectiveness of product line specific training programs.

 

Qualifications:

Basic (required) Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or information technology field from an accredited institution
  • Five (5) years of applicable experience with engineered-to-order (ETO) products and configuration tools.  
  • Authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship now or in the future 
  • No relocation is included, candidates must reside within 50 miles of an approved work location.  Approved work locations include the following PDCA facilities: (1) Arden, NC, (2) Fayetteville, NC, (3) Greenwood, SC, or (4) Sumter, SC. 
  • Ability to travel up to 25% 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
  • Extensive experience with similar tools/Eaton’s ETO software tools including, but not limited to: Bid Manager, MI Manager, Design Automation, DCMS, Plant Order Manager, Pick Work Bench, etc.
  • Experience or familiarity with object orientated programming languages.
