We are seeking an experienced and visionary Editor, TheStreet Crypto to lead our dynamic team. As the Editor, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the editorial direction, strategy, and overall content development for our crypto-focused platform. You will be responsible for driving high-quality journalism, thought leadership, and analysis, while ensuring that our content meets the needs of our diverse audience.
The Arena Group’s expected annualized base salary range for this position is currently $70,000 - $90,000. Actual salaries will vary based on multiple factors including, but not limited to location, education, experience and other factors permitted by law. The listed salary range is but one component of The Arena Group’s total compensation and benefits available to its employees.

What You’ll DO:
- Editorial Leadership: Provide strategic vision and oversee the overall editorial direction of TheStreet Crypto, ensuring that the content is informative, engaging, and relevant to our readership.
- Content Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy, including long-term planning and short-term goals, to enhance our publication's reputation and readership.
- Team Management: Manage and mentor a team of talented writers, journalists, and contributors, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment while promoting professional growth.
- News Curation: Identify and curate breaking news, emerging trends, and key developments in the cryptocurrency and blockchain space, ensuring the publication remains at the forefront of the industry. This includes daily creation of the best stories, videos, and insights from the Roundtable crypto network, which includes Bitcoin Magazine, Blockleaders, and more.
- Content Creation: Personally contribute to the publication by writing articles, editorials, and opinion pieces, demonstrating your expertise in the crypto field and providing valuable insights to our readers.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain the highest standards of accuracy, credibility, and journalistic integrity in all published content, adhering to ethical guidelines and upholding the reputation of TheStreet.
- Audience Engagement: Utilize various channels and platforms to engage with our audience, encourage reader interaction, and drive community growth, including forums, newsletters, and events.
- Industry Networking: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, industry experts, thought leaders, and influencers within the crypto and blockchain space, establishing TheStreet Crypto as a trusted authority.
- Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor analysis, and audience feedback to identify opportunities for growth, innovation, and improvement in our content offerings.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments and executives at TheStreet and Roundtable, including marketing, sales, and product development, to ensure alignment and maximize the impact and reach of TheStreet Crypto.
What You’ll BRING:
- Proven Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in journalism, including video format, preferably with a focus on cryptocurrencies, blockchain technology, or related financial markets. Previous editorial experience is strongly preferred.
- Crypto Knowledge: Deep understanding of cryptocurrencies, blockchain technology, decentralized finance (DeFi), and the broader digital asset market. Familiarity with industry trends, key players, and emerging technologies is essential.
- Editorial Excellence: Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to produce clear, concise, and engaging content. Exceptional attention to detail, grammar, and adherence to journalistic standards.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated experience in managing and motivating a team of writers or journalists. Proven ability to provide constructive feedback, set clear objectives, and foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
- Strategic Thinker: Ability to develop and execute a content strategy aligned with the goals and objectives of TheStreet Crypto. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to drive growth and engagement.
- Industry Network: Established network and connections within the crypto and blockchain community, including experts, influencers, and industry insiders. Proven ability to leverage these connections to enhance content quality and establish partnerships.
- Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-changing industry. Ability to quickly grasp new concepts, technologies, and market developments.
- Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, finance, economics, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
