SQL Database Administrator - job 1 of 2

Envision Employment Solutions is currently looking for a SQL Database Administrator for one of our partners, a global leader in consulting, digital transformation, technology and engineering services.

This position requires flexibility to work on US times and flexibility to travel abroad when needed.

  • 6 Years of relevant experience.
  • Relevant experience depending on the grade on MSSQL DBA in production support.    
  • Working experience on High availabilities like Clustering and AlwaysOn.
  • Experience in managing in Cloud (Azure and AWS).
  • Worked on installation, upgradation, and migration (onprem to Cloud), fixing migration issues.
  • Worked on supporting large customers on 24/7 – 365 days support model.
  • Knowledge on performance monitoring and tuning, backup and recovery, database sizing.
  • Experience on TSQL, DTS, SSIS and stored procedures.
  • Good Communication and documentation skill.
  • Experience on SQL patching and securities   
  • Working experience on clustering, database Mirroring, Replication and Log shipping.
  • Knowledge on Reporting services and analysis services is a plus.
  • Certification on MSSQL Database Administration is a plus.
  • Experience on performance tuning a database to provide a high availability services.
  • Strong self-sufficiency and initiative working on Database project.
  • Knowledge on SQL queries statements and scripts.
  • Responsible for all functions associated with the design, implementation and maintenance of SQL Server databases including security, back-up, logging, reporting and recovery procedures.
  • Manage all technical aspects of the databases and processes.
  • Responsible to work directly with users and resolve the issues within established SLA.
  • Should work with team, monitor, documentation and knowledge transfer to team.
  • Responsible for implementation and release of database changes according to agreed timescales
  • Should be willing to work in rotational shifts and 24/7 -365 days support model.
  • Scripting knowledge in Python/Powershell will be added advantage.
