Your role will be pivotal in our product development process, from the initial design spark to the implementation's final touches. The ideal candidate will be adept at creating user-centric designs that adhere to the U.S. Web Design System (USWDS) and ensure 508-accessibility compliance.Job Description• User Research: Conduct user interviews to gather feedback and inform design decisions• User Design: Design and implement intuitive and engaging user interfaces for web and mobile applications• Embrace human-centered design principles to develop comprehensive user research plans, interview protocols and question guides• Wireframing and Prototyping: Translate user stories and business requirements into wireframes, prototypes, and user flows• Create high-fidelity prototypes and wireframes using industry-standard tools• Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify user needs and translate them into design solutions• Usability Testing: Conduct user research and usability testing to refine design concepts• Accessibility and Compliance: Ensure all designs meet U.S. Web Design Standards and are 508-accessibility compliant• Documentation: Develop and maintain design documentation, including style guides and user flows• Continuous Learning: Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in UX/UI design and web standardsQualifications And Skills• Bachelor's degree in design, Computer Science, or a related field• Minimum of 5 years of experience in UX/UI design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work• Experience in supporting agile development projects desirable• Strong working experience with graphic design tools like Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, Sketch, etc.• Proven experience in developing user research plans and conducting user interviews• Proficiency in graphic design, with an eye for visual composition and attention to detail• Strong coding skills, with experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and familiarity with front-end frameworks• Experience participating in user design workshops or workgroups• In-depth knowledge of U.S. Web Design System (USWDS) and 508 accessibility requirements• Excellent communication and collaboration skills$75,000 - $95,000 a yearERG offers competitive salaries and excellent benefits, including health and dental insurance, life insurance, long-term disability, educational benefits, FSAs, a generous 401k plan, profit sharing, an EAP, 11-20 paid vacation days per year, 10 paid holidays per year, 56 hours or more of sick leave (based on the state you work in) per year (pro-rated for part-time) and more.
