Interface designer

We currently have a vacancy for an Interface designer fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Brussels, Belgium. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.

Tasks:

  • Design work on digital solutions, ensuring UX/UI consistency and enhancing user interactions;
  • Execute end-to-end product design, from wireframing and prototyping to final UI design, ensuring designs align with business needs and technical feasibility;
  • Drive the development of user-centered digital solutions by conducting user research, persona development, and user journey mapping;
  • Apply iterative design processes, including A/B testing and usability testing, to continually refine and optimize digital interfaces;
  • Lead the research and analysis of user needs, conducting interviews, usability tests, and market research to inform design decisions;
  • Leverage data analytics tools to evaluate the performance of digital products and drive continuous improvement of the user experience.
    • University degree in IT or relevant discipline, combined with minimum 13 years of relevant working experience in IT;
    • Strong experience in designing for multiple platforms, including web, mobile, and tablet interfaces, ensuring consistent user experiences across all devices;
    • Strong experience of responsive design techniques to ensure usability across various devices and platforms;
    • Strong experience in creating high-fidelity prototypes and wireframes using industry-standard tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, UXpin Axure);
    • Adept in designing interfaces that comply with accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG), ensuring inclusive design for users with disabilities;
    • Experience in creating motion graphics to guide user behavior and improve overall user flow;
    • Experience in delivering assets, design specifications, and prototypes to development teams using tools like Zeplin, Figma, and InVision;
    • Experience running user interface testing, gathering feedback, and iterating designs based on user insights;
    • Experience in change management;
    • Strong knowledge of platform-specific design guidelines (e.g., iOS, Android, Web) and ability to adapt designs accordingly;
    • Knowledge of project management methodology (Agile, Waterfall), and analytics Tools (Hotjar,Google Analytics, Dynatrace);
    • Knowledge of other tools like: UserZoom (for UCD, remote user research, and usability testing, Xtensio (for persona development, Smaply (for user journey mapping), JIRA (for project management), Documentation and knowledge sharing (Confluence), Sharepoint online, HTML/CSS, XML, SEO;
    • Certifications in the following areas would be considered an asset: User centred design, Usability and accessibility standards, Participatory design (design sprints, visual conversation), Agile and Research techniques;
    • Excellent command in English and French language, ability to communicate in Dutch would be considered an asset.
