The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly analytical, outcomes-driven and detail-oriented Operations Manager to own the acceleration of growth and quality across our delivery functions. This role involves solving complex operational challenges affecting our different delivery teams, and working closely with cross-functional partners and leaders to influence change and drive meaningful impact for the business. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in ambiguous environments and is excited to seek out and own projects that yield operational efficiency, improve cost and quality, and drive top-line growth for an ever-evolving business.

How you’ll make an impact:

  • By focusing on a specific area of delivery at a time, you’ll quickly ramp up to strategically manage and enact solutions that improve the efficiency of that particular function

  • By greatly contributing to improved delivery outcomes that directly impact the company's reputation and growth. 

  • By solving some of the most complex problems the company faces in providing customers with their end product, which ultimately helps them make their communities safer.

The Skillset

  • 3+ years of experience working in a high-growth environment 

  • Comfortable working in a fast moving operational environment, focused on meeting and exceeding lofty metrics and goals

  • Highly analytical, utilizing and developing reports and a suite of tools to assess operational trends, identify challenges, and design solutions to achieve desired outcomes. 

  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, influence stakeholders, and drive consensus in a dynamic fast-paced environment.

  • Highly adaptable self-starter who embraces change and knows how to pivot when confronted with new challenges

  • Diplomatic, tactful and poised under pressure, with a high comfort with ambiguity

  • Demonstrate strong follow-through and ability to self-manage multiple tasks and projects at once

  • Team player that contributes positively to overall team morale and company culture

90 Days at Flock

We are a results-oriented culture and believe job descriptions are a thing of the past. We prescribe to 90 day plans and believe that good days, lead to good weeks, which lead to good months. This serves as a preview of the 90 day plan you will receive if you were to be hired in this role at Flock Safety.

The First 30 Days:

  • You will familiarize yourself with a particular delivery function, including meeting the team and getting up to speed on team metrics, reporting, and existing systems used to maximize efficiency 

  • Begin to dive into your assigned area learning about their unique intricacies 

  • Building relationships with internal and external partners

The First 60 Days:

  • Working with key stakeholders to solve everyday complex problems efficiently and effectively

  • Demonstrating a strong understanding of team metrics, and what levers can be pulled to drive change

  • Leveraging tools, resources, and relationships to optimize performance

  • Managing weekly team reviews and driving the decision making process

90 Days and beyond:

  • Fully running your assigned functional area and are the subject matter expert. 

  • Are demonstrating your ability to identify, root cause, and solve complex problems effectively

  • Actively striving to exceed team goals

  • Adapting to constantly changing priorities 

The Interview Process 

We want our interview process to be a true reflection of our culture: transparent and collaborative. Throughout the interview process, your recruiter will guide you through the next steps and ensure you feel prepared every step of the way. 

  1. Our First Chat: During this first conversation, you’ll meet with a recruiter to chat through your background, what you could bring to Flock, what you are looking for in your next role, and who we are. 

  2. The Hiring Manager: You will meet with your potential future boss to really dive into the role, the team, expectations, and what success means at Flock. This is your chance to really nerd out with someone in your field.

  3. The Panel: Learn more about the team, responsibilities, and workflows. You should be prepared to speak about past projects, how you collaborate and communicate with others, and how you live our values. You will meet with several teammates and cross-functional partners.

Salary & Equity

In this role, you’ll receive a starting salary between  $100,000 and $120,000 as well as Flock Safety Stock Options.

👪Family Leave: All employees receive 12 weeks of 100% paid parental leave. Birthing parents are eligible for an additional 6-8 weeks of physical recovery time.

At Flock Safety, we compensate our employees fairly for their work. Base salary is determined by job-related experience, education/training, as well as market indicators.
