Investor Relations Associate

Fundraising is a critical part of the entrepreneurial journey, and it's essential that founders connect with the right investors, at the right time. That’s where you come in.We’re looking for an Associate to join our team of authentic, ambitious, smart, nice people and help us build, grow and manage our network of investors. You’ll be walking into a world-class accelerator & seed fund with the people, infrastructure and resources to set you up for success. You’ll network with the best VCs, angels and investors, building Forum’s presence in the ecosystem. You’ll nurture those relationships with ongoing deal flow, and work alongside our team to hand pick the right portfolio companies for them, driving ultimate value for our founders. We work hard and smart, and spend the large majority of our time feeling challenged and inspired by each other.At Forum, you’ll work both autonomously and collaboratively, with flexible location and hours, enjoy great benefits, fund upside and unlimited vacation, and when possible, bond with the team during our epic offsite adventures.What You’ll Be DoingInvestor Relationship Building: Build relationships with existing investors in our ecosystem and network your way into net-new relationships via ongoing communication, deal flow, networking and events. Provide strategic suggestions on how to effectively reach out to investors and scale the outreach approach, ensuring continuous improvement in engagement methods and broadening the investor network.Investor Relationship Management: Develop and execute a strategy for improving the value of our investor relationships. Recommend processes to more effectively capitalize on the team’s network and ensure key investor information is gathered and accurately input into the CRM. Drive deal flow from investors and actively generate referrals to bring new opportunities into the Forum portfolio.Source Potential Investments: Source potential investments and generate deal-flow through investor relationship building. Support elements of the investment processes, like deal-team committee memo creation.Founder Fundraising Support: Provide personalized support to founders, including assisting with investor outreach strategies and 1:1 introductions. Collaborate with founders on pitch preparation, and feedback from investors, systematically collecting and capturing feedback to refine outreach efforts.Ecosystem Development: Build Forum’s brand (and your own personal brand) and presence in the VC ecosystem, by staying active in both online and offline communities.Investor Communications & Reporting: Report on network growth, industry trends, and other metrics that help make us a smarter early-stage fund.What You’ll Need• Venture / Startup Experience: 3-5 years of building and managing relationships within venture capital or startups, driving new deal flow and expanding networks.• Deal Sourcing & Investment Knowledge: Proven ability to source investments and support investment processes, create deal memos, and generate referrals.• Relationship Building: You thrive on building meaningful relationships and enjoy being out in the ecosystem, actively networking and engaging with investors to expand our reach and drive new opportunities.• CRM & Data Management: Strong proficiency in Hubspot to accurately track and manage investor information.• Communication & Reporting: Ability to clearly report on investor network growth, trends, and metrics to inform strategy.• Ecosystem Engagement: A knack for relationship building and a strong and demonstrated interest in the startup ecosystem, with empathy for the founder journey• Strong Work Ethic: High integrity and takes a lot of pride in their work.What We Offer:• The salary range is $150,000-175,000 USD*• Fund Carry - a direct share in the financial success of the Studio ventures we build together.• A generous benefits package• Unlimited PTO.
