Information Assurance Manager

The Information Assurance Manager will support the 33rd Cyber Operation Squadron Defensive Cyber Operations Team onsite at Lackland Air Force Base. This position will be an active part of this unit and will be responsible for monitoring, securing, and protecting the Air Force and Central Command global networks by assuring all information technology security related functions are secure and operational by applying advanced methods and practices. This position will also provide guidance on complex issues and serve as the squadron Communications Security Manager.

·         Serve as the organization’s Information Assurance Manager and focal point for information technology security related functions

·         Recommend squadron policy, manages, operates, and maintains the Computer Security (COMPUSEC), Certification and Accreditation program, Emissions Security (EMSEC), Security Awareness Training and Education (SATE) Information Assurance Awareness Program

·         Serve as the squadron Communications Security (COMSEC) Manager, if a COMSEC account is assigned

·         Apply concepts, principles, methods, and practices in the information systems security to design, develop, implement, and maintain secure systems and services, assess the effectiveness of current systems security and services, evaluate the feasibility of new systems security and services, and provide advice and guidance on complex issues

·         Apply comprehensive knowledge of information systems security certification and accreditation requirements to monitor and evaluate weapon system compliance with those requirements

·         Other duties as related to the business functions of FWG Solutions, as assigned

Education:

·         High School Degree Required

·         Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Engineering required

Licenses & Certifications:

·         Active TS/SCI Security Clearance

·         Required to have one of the following IAT Level II certifications: CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, or SSCP – or an IAT Level III certification: CASP+ CE, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, GCIH, or CCNP Security

·         Required to have one of the following IAT CSSP certifications for Infrastructure Support: Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), CySA+, GICSP, SSCP, CHFI, CFR, Cloud+, or CND

Experience:

·         Required minimum of five (5) of relevant experience; DoD experience preferred

·         Required minimum of five to eight (5-8) years’ experience in the field

·         Supervisory or project management experience

Skills & Abilities:

·         Advanced knowledge of network analysis tools, network analysis and communication protocols

·         High level problem-solving and communication skills

·         Excellent written and oral communication abilities

·         Ability to hold yourself and others accountable on short-term and long-term goals

·         Superior organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks

·         Strong interpersonal skills

·         Excellent analytical skills including the ability to integrate information from multiple sources

·         Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner

·         Use of Microsoft Office software applications to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

·         Ability to work Monday-Friday, 0730-1630
