Sr. Finance Analyst

Job Description

  • Hybrid: This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Warren – GM Global Technical Center three times per week, at minimum or other frequency dictated by the business.

    The Role

    Ultium Cells FP&A is seeking a highly motivated, engaged, and organized individual with strong analytical framework and technical skills for financial modeling. The ideal candidate should demonstrate the ability to exercise a high level of independent judgment, decision-making, accuracy, creativity, and initiative. This position offers the opportunities to build relationships with cross functional teams across GM, LGES, and Ultium Cells.

    What You’ll Do –

    The primary responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

    • The role will work with cross functions and build the Financial Model for a balanced business case of LFP and LMR Battery Cell execution in Ultium Cells Tennessee

    • Lead thoughtful, timely month-end reporting and financial analysis

    • Lead the annual budget and LTP development for Ultium Cells Tennessee

    • Perform cost variance analyses in key indicators (forecast vs. actual). Be able to clearly tell the story of what and why it happened

  • This job is not eligible for relocation benefits. Any relocation costs would be the responsibility of the selected candidate

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, accounting or related areas

  • 3 years of Financial Planning & Analysis, product costing or relevant experience

  • Strong analytical, financial modeling, or reporting skills

  • Familiarity with accounting principles

  • Break work-in-silo mentality

  • Ability for Time, Quantity, Quality trade-off management

  • Collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams in GM, LGES, and Ultium Cells

  • Ability to travel to 10% to Ultium Cells Tennessee Plant
