We have partnered with a dynamic construction company seeking to add a Payroll Accountant to their team. This position will play a crucial role in supporting the payroll & accounting team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Process weekly or biweekly payrolls, including garnishments, benefits and taxes to consistent with federal and state wage and hour laws
- Ensures the processing of new hires, temporary workers, transfers, promotions and terminations is accurate and timely
- Prepares and audits W-4s, payroll balance sheets, YTD earnings, etc.
- Manages regular preparation of relevant management reports, including weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports
- Reconcile bank accounts
- Maintains employee benefits programs
- Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements
- Completes human resource operational requirements
- Administers benefits programs
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 2+ years’ experience of payroll processing
- Working knowledge of Word, Excel and payroll systems
