This is a hybrid role based in our Chicago office and will require you to be in the office Tuesdays and Thursdays.

We are hiring a Sr. Staff Cloud Engineer who is passionate about development operations and maintaining a high performing cloud infrastructure platform. As the most senior Cloud Engineer on the team, we will rely on you for your deep expertise in cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes and networking. You will have the opportunity to solve challenging infrastructure and reliability problems, work with the latest systems, collaborate with a kind and capable team and contribute meaningfully.
What’s the job?
Design, document, and maintain cloud infrastructure platform using AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform
Provide Engineering teams with standards and best practices on how to deploy and consume public cloud services.
Build and implement continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) using tools such as Argo and GitHub Actions
Manage multiple AWS cloud environments. Use cloud-based container management services such as Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) to deploy applications.
Help develop effective monitoring and response tools to both identify and address reliability risks using Datadog, Pagerduty, Prometheus and similar systems.
Work closely with other teams on new microservices or features/improvements of existing services.
Drive performance tuning and automation.
Support, maintain and document software functionality.
Participate in an on-call rotation
SOX experience is a bonus
What we'll love about you
8+ years overall engineering experience
5+ years of experience working in AWS (RDS, ElastiCache, Kafka, IAM, EC2, EKS, Route53)
5+ years of experience working with DevOps technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and Terraform
5+ years developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
Experience with distributed system design, implementation, and capacity planning
An excitement and ability to work in a high volume, large-scale environment.
Clear communication and ability to collaborate cross-functionally with diverse stakeholders and teams.
Ability to work with others to perform root cause analysis on stability and performance related events
