We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Research Engineering Intern to join our team. As Harmonic’s very first Research Engineering Intern, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced researchers and engineers solving technical challenges at the intersection of AI and Mathematics.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and optimize mathematical routines in python and C++
Leverage large compute clusters to generate synthetic reasoning data
Train and evaluate LLMs on mathematical reasoning tasks
Collaborate with researchers to advance the Harmonic research roadmap
Minimum Qualifications
Currently has or is in the process of obtaining a BS or MS in Computer ScienceStrong programming skills in Python and C++, with experience in software development and testing.
Strong understanding of mathematical concepts, including algebra, geometry, and analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
Currently has or is in the process of obtaining a PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
Experience with distributed computing on SLURM clusters
Experience training large language models on large GPU clusters
