The Opportunity:
We’re looking for a Head of Physical Security to have strategic oversight of all security and safety initiatives to ensure that our offices are a safe and secure environment for our employees and visitors while maintaining the culture of a software company.
You will work closely with Operations, IT, People, Legal, and Audit to refine and develop programs that relate to safety, security, continuity, and resiliency of Datadog.
You’ll join at an ideal time to make a big impact. We continue to expand globally with many evolving needs for our safety and security programs. You will be involved every step of the way - from defining the foundations of the programs to hiring the staff to support it globally.
You Will:
- Educate employees on physical security and business resilience policy and standards
- Work closely with the Operations team to drive the physical & technical due diligence process during office build-outs and installations
- Develop and manage budgets, timelines, and resourcing plans for major capital projects
- Maintain our physical security databases and systems, ensure infrastructure is set up to scale globally
- Perform security software audits and document policies & processes
- Refine and implement an incident response program aligned with key stakeholders
- Liaise with local law enforcement for incident responses and best practices
- Build a process and execute on internal security investigations
- Iterate on Datadog’s incident and crisis management protocols as well as business continuity planning
- Provide travel guidance, intelligence, and communications to employees affected
- Manage communication with people making security threats, following up on security investigations and assist with background checks
- Manage relationship with security related third-party vendors and integrators, oversee RFPs, contract negotiations, and payments
- Refine executive protection guidelines
- As we scale, hire and lead our own physical security, business resiliency and other professionals as needed
You Are:
- Proven track record of leading and growing global physical security functions
- Experience running and scaling a global security workforce and overseeing any third-party vendors providing staffing
- Strong working knowledge of pertinent law and the law enforcement community
- Experience building crisis management, executive protection, safety, and business continuity programs
- Able to communicate safety and security concerns with executive leadership
- Obsessed with continuous improvement using metrics and data to influence direction
- Flexible to work in a product company while still implementing proper safety protocols
- Demonstrable experience working with SaaS security products and other relevant technologies

- Degree in Business Management, International Relations, or Criminal Justice
- Years of experience in the Military or Federal Law Enforcement
