About the Role
We are seeking aData Scientist to join our growing data science team as a part of the fast-paced Product division at Healthcare.com. This role combines data science, analysis, and engineering to deploy and optimize machine learning models that directly impact business performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct SQL-based analysis using Snowflake to derive actionable insights and support decision-making.
- Maintain and optimize machine learning models, APIs, and decision-tree-based algorithms in production.
- Analyze unstructured logs generated by data science models and provide meaningful summaries.
- Develop and automate ETL pipelines in Airflow running on Kubernetes for data ingestion and transformation.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize infrastructure and minimize model response times.
- Create clear visualizations, reports, or presentations to communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Stay current with data science trends and apply best practices to improve model performance and efficiency.
Qualifications
Required:
• 4+ years of hands-on experience with Python (data science and engineering libraries such as pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, flask).
• Strong SQL skills with a proven ability to write complex queries (experience with Snowflake is a plus).
• Understanding of decision tree models (XGBoost, LightGBM, etc.) and experience in applied machine learning.
• Experience maintaining ML models in production and optimizing APIs.
• Solid understanding of software engineering principles (code optimization, version control, CI/CD).
Preferred:
• Familiarity with Airflow and Kubernetes for pipeline automation.
• Domain knowledge in health insurance, lead scoring, or online lead funnels.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
Soft Skills:
• Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving ability.
• Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and presenting findings.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
