Howard Financial is a full-service back-office solution for companies and entities with bookkeeping, payroll, and

bespoke reporting needs that require accuracy, timeliness, and institutional-quality reporting without the burden of full-

time staff. We are an experienced team of bookkeepers and administrators with multiple decades of combined experience across industries allowing companies to focus on their core business while we handle the rest.

Founded in Fall 2023, Howard has grown quickly and currently serves over 35 high-growth companies across a diverse

array of industries. We are looking for a communicative and entrepreneurial Controller to assist our finance team with

delivering timely and accurate reporting across clients.

This is an opportunity to be an early team member of an exciting, high-growth, and profitable startup with meaningful

growth potential. As an early team member, you’ll have the opportunity to help establish our culture and internal

organization strategy.

Responsibilities:

• Financial Oversight: Manage and oversee all aspects of financial operations, including accounting and reporting.

• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor teams of accountants and FP&A associates, ensuring accuracy and

compliance with client needs and deadlines.

• Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial statements, reports, and forecasts to executive

management.

• Process Improvement: Identify and implement process enhancements to improve financial efficiency and

accuracy.

• Client Management: Maintain strong client relationships, addressing their financial needs and ensuring

The Role
We are seeking a hands-on, entrepreneurial Controller to play a key role in our growing finance team. You’ll be instrumental in delivering accurate, timely reporting for our clients while helping to shape the future of our operations.

  • Financial Management: Lead and manage financial operations for multiple clients, including accounting, payroll, and reporting.

  • Client Relations: Act as the primary point of contact for your clients, building strong relationships and addressing their financial needs.
