You enjoy working with others, are results-driven, and seek various opportunities to develop personally and professionally.The RoleThe Central Sales Manager will manage the sales funnel for a small portfolio of Select Service & Full-Service properties. They will lead a team of Group Specialists to deliver strong performance in group sales funnel management. The Central Sales Manager must be able to coach team members and ensure high performance. This person will manage a team and hotels across the Americas. The Central Sales Manager would be someone who has demonstrated, through performance, a thorough understanding and competence in Group sales, Hyatt systems, and the hotel/business travel industry.They will have thorough experience with professional selling skills: opening, probing, supporting, and closing. Must possess exceptional negotiating skills. Must be proficient in general computer knowledge and able to train and monitor the process of sending referrals, setting traces, and profiling accounts. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint and be capable of creating documents, working charts, and spreadsheets.Communication and organizational skills are of utmost importance for this position.QualificationsExperience Required:• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment• Refined verbal and written communication skills• Strong organization and presentation skills• Must be able to work independently and simultaneously manage multiple tasks• Must be outgoing and a proven self-starter• A minimum of 3-5 years of hotel sales or comparable experience preferred• Must be proficient in general computer knowledge, Envision, Opera, and Cvent• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint and be capable of creating documents, working charts, and spreadsheetsExperience Preferred:• Bachelor’s degree• Previous Hyatt Group Selling experience• Previous managerial experienceThe position responsibilities outlined above are in no way to be construed as all-encompassing.
