iT1, a leading national technology solution provider headquartered in Tempe, AZ, is seeking a dedicated HR Generalist to become a vital part of our Human Resources Department. In this role, you will support various HR functions, oversee the employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding, and ensure compliance with company policies and employment laws. Reporting directly to the VP of People, you will be a key resource for employees, providing guidance on HR-related topics and maintaining confidentiality.

  • Serve as a primary resource for employees regarding company policies, benefits inquiries, and general HR questions, ensuring they receive timely and accurate information
  • Provide consultation to teams throughout iT1 as an HR subject matter expert on a variety of HR-related topics, guiding them to an appropriate resolution
  • Protect sensitive data and maintain confidentiality
  • Conduct HR-related investigations, as needed, providing reporting on findings and suggested resolutions
  • Ensure accurate and detailed documentation for all HR related issues
  • Assist with overseeing HR-related functions including onboarding/offboarding, compliance, performance management, and employee relations
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Implement HR policies and procedures to ensure consistency and fairness across the organization
  • Help maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR databases
  • Provide support with the development and implementation of HR strategies and initiatives
  • Assist with training sessions for iT1 personnel on HR processes and policies as needed
  • Maintain and help manage HR documentation, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 standards
  • Assist in preparation for ISO audits
  • Other administrative duties as assigned

JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
  • 4+ years of experience in HR, preferably in a generalist role
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local HR practices, employment laws and regulations
  • Strong documentation skills
  • Experience working with FMLA documentation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • HR Certification, or a desire to obtain, preferred
  • Experience with Paylocity or other web-based HRMS systems
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams, preferred
  • Experience working with legal documents such as employment agreements

  • A desire to interact with all employees of iT1, whether formally or informally, creating a positive overall view of the HR function throughout the organization

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Sit at a computer for up to 8 hours per day
  • Keyboarding for up to 8 hours per day
  • Speaking (communicating information to clients/coworkers)
  • Hearing Requirements (In person speech, telephone, other sounds)

JOB LOCATION:

Mon-Fri 8am-5pm onsite at HQ in Tempe, AZ
