Technical Project Manager (TPM) - PMO

Overview

Plan, manage, and execute varied software development, customization, or IT systems development projects for the enterprise. Perform information/requirements gathering to determine project parameters and specifications, and to help budget human, financial and other resources. Provide technical oversight to project resource staff and track attainment of project milestones. Report on progress and budget expenditures to project owners. 

Responsibilities

  • Assist business owners and stakeholders with requirements and/or process flow documentation 
  • Plan, execute, and control a number of complex, technology centric projects with a focus on Agile delivery
  • Manage the delivery of projects when under full control of the PMO to agreed exit criteria
  • Track project performance against agreed KPIs; including financial and budget performance 
  • Responsible for the overall well-being of the project 
  • When appropriate or assigned, support software development teams in the role of Scrum Master
  • Consult with business owners, stakeholders, or fellow practitioners regarding the adoption of processes, tools, and techniques best leveraged for project delivery 
  • Mentor fellow team members and business partners on successful, scalable project delivery 

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years experience in project management with an emphasis on Agile delivery
  • 5-10 years in a dynamic corporate environment 
  • Expertise with Scrum, Kanban, and/or SAFe 
  • Familiarity with SDLC and CI/CD delivery of software development efforts
  • Excellent client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office 365 and JIRA Software suites
  • Preferred Certifications – PMP, CSM, SAFe SSM/SASM
