Takes responsibility for purchases in support of customer-related business processes or for internal use. Discusses defects and delivery problems with suppliers, and is responsible for negotiating refunds. Coordinates with operations, maintenance, warehouse and engineering to ensure proper scheduling and movement of goods and supplies. Under general supervision, and occasional direct supervision, performs assignments requiring experience and knowledge of standard concepts within their field. Displays core job competencies by analyzing possible solutions using standard procedures while developing advanced skills.What You’ll DoAs a Procurement Specialist, you will:• Develop effective procurement strategies.• Analyze and evaluate offers from suppliers.• Negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing.• Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.• Maintain Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure that all installations and repairs meet or exceed the set standards.• Facilitate Team Communication: Ensure clear and consistent communication within the team and with other project stakeholders to keep everyone informed and aligned on project goals and updates.• Other duties as requiredQualifications:• 5+ years of proven working experience as a procurement manager or procurement officer.• BSc degree in supply chain management, logistics or business administration.• Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as a dexterity in "reading" the market.• Talent in negotiations and networking.• Good knowledge of supplier or third party management software.• High School Diploma or GED: Required as a basic educational foundation.• Attention to Detail: Precision and attention to detail to ensure high-quality service delivery and compliance with safety standards.• Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing conditions, technologies, and requirements.• Decision-Making Ability: Strong decision-making skills to resolve issues quickly and effectively under pressure.Clearance: A Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) U.S. Security Clearance with a Polygraph is required to start.Basic Compensation:$83,380.00 - $125,070.00/yrThe offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.Additional Compensation:KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation.
