Product Manager - (SaaS)

You’ll use your customer and market knowledge to create actionable roadmaps and requirements for the best Veterinary EMR tools on the market. This PM will focus on core capabilities of our platform that serve administrative and front office roles within Veterinary practices, including invoicing, payments, financial reporting, and inventory.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and analyze customer needs to inform the creation of useful, usable, iterative and elegant solutions.
  • Craft crisp, clear requirements to guide Engineering and QA collaborators.
  • Make well-informed decisions and educated trade-offs that balance customer needs, technical feasibility and business goals.
  • Collect and analyze usage data for your product areas, as well as market and competitive insights, to inform your decisions and product direction.
  • Set goals for your product initiatives and work with your team throughout the development and post-release cycle to ensure you are achieving them.
  • Create focus for the team through  prioritizing constantly so that teammates know they're doing the most important work.
  • Develop meaningful relationships across the organization and with customers to understand needs, explain our plans, and set reasonable expectations for product delivery.
  • Work with customer-facing teams to ensure successful launches of new features.
  • Become a domain expert and the go-to person for your product line, to keep the company aligned on the strategy, roadmap, priorities, and scope.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of Product Management experience in an entrepreneurial, early stage start-up environment, ideally in SaaS/Cloud software.
  • Experience in finance, accounting, payments, or other financial services products.
  • Strong understanding of product management and agile principles.
  • Experience building a strategic roadmap, getting stakeholder buy-in, and driving major product initiatives from conception to launch.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively, with a "roll up the sleeves" attitude.
  • Customer-first mindset, focused on empathizing with customers’ problems and aligning the team around their use cases.
  • Creative problem solving skills, ability to work with ambiguity, and manage multiple problem areas in parallel.
  • Focus on outcomes over outputs, setting meaningful goals for your team aligned with company objectives.
  • Exceptional written and interpersonal communication skills. You focus on the “why” and share the right level of context whether you’re talking to your engineering team, a customer, or an executive.
  • A desire to continuously learn, grow and improve and encourage others around them to do the same.
