If you’re looking to be a part of an inspiring, energetic and entrepreneurial environment, you’ve found the right place.What You'll DoThe Plant Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Manager is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the health, safety, and environmental compliance of all plant operations. The HSE Manager will lead initiatives that promote a safe work environment, ensure regulatory compliance with local, state, and federal environmental and safety regulations, and contribute to the overall sustainability goals of the organization. This role will require a proactive approach to risk management, emergency preparedness, training, and continuous improvement within the plant.What You'll Bring To KIND• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive health and safety policies, programs, and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees, contractors, and visitors.• Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.• Investigate accidents and near-misses, determine root causes, and develop strategies to prevent recurrence.• Lead and manage the plant’s Health and Safety Committee and ensure the effective implementation of safety improvement initiatives.• Monitor safety performance through regular reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs), tracking incidents, and implementing preventive measures.• Design and deliver HSE training programs for all employees, contractors, and new hires, ensuring understanding and compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.• Maintain up-to-date knowledge and ensure compliance of applicable local, state, and federal safety, health, and environmental regulations, ensuring the plant is in full compliance.• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams (e.g., operations, maintenance, HR) to identify and mitigate risks, improve safety culture, and enhance operational efficiency.You have...• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, occupational safety, industrial hygiene, engineering or related field.• Certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or similar HSE certifications are highly preferred.• Minimum 5 years of experience in health, safety, and environmental management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial plant environment.• Strong understanding of OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements applicable to the manufacturing industry.• In-depth knowledge of environmental, health, and safety regulations and best practices.• Proven track record of successful implementation of HSE programs and a demonstrated ability to drive culture changePluses• In-depth knowledge of environmental, health and safety regulations and best practices• An ability to propose solutions, challenge conventions and champion ideas• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all levels of the organization.• Inspirational leadership though training, coaching and performance management• Strong project management and organizational skills.• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.• Genuine in your desire to help the make the world a kinder place, committing to always spreading and celebrating kindness.What KIND Offers• 401(K) or RRSP's with generous company match• Flexible Paid Time Off.
