Job Purpose:

As a Senior Front End Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience by developing the front-end user interface for the knit.ai application. You will have the opportunity to make significant technical decisions and contribute to our product's overall technical vision and strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, build, and maintain an efficient, reusable, and reliable web application.

- Collaborate with the UXD team to create visually appealing and intuitive user interfaces.

- Work closely with back-end developers to ensure seamless integration with REST APIs.

- Debug and troubleshoot software issues because you care greatly about the user experience.

- Write high-quality, reusable, and modular code that adheres to industry standards.

- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to keep our technology stack up-to-date.

- Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge across the team.

Skills and Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in front-end development.

- Proficiency in JavaScript frameworks, specifically React and Next.JS.

- Solid understanding of CSS and TypeScript.

- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to think critically.

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.

- You don’t just know what the right thing is to do, you know why it’s the right thing and can articulate it.

Reporting Structure:

You will be reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) & Cofounder

Location:

This position is based in Palo Alto, CA. We believe the power of collaboration and creativity is critical for an early stage startup and is best captured in-person, hence the expectation is for in-office work 5 days a week.
