Engineering Manager, ERP Integrations

About Kojo

It's time to build. Whether it's creating more housing, upgrading our infrastructure, or adapting to climate change, one thing is clear: the construction industry is at the center of solving our biggest problems. We’re making buildings cheaper and easier to build by transforming the way commercial construction companies buy their materials. Join us.

Founded in 2018, Kojo is now one of the fastest-growing construction technology companies in the world. Construction accounts for $10 trillion in global spend annually and we can’t live without its output - our roads, schools, hospitals, and offices. Despite this, there’s been very little innovation over the past 70 years in how materials - which constitute up to 40% of project costs - are bought and sold. This is our opportunity.

We’re hiring a hands-on ERP Integrations Engineering Manager, building synchronization services and product features that connect third-party ERP systems with Kojo for the purpose of providing value to our customers.

About the role

This role will include:

  • Making hands-on contributions to the goals of Kojo’s integrations crew in the areas of building/testing/deploying code

  • Managing the integrations team of software engineers and ensuring that they are delivering on the right priorities (and neither drop the ball nor get side tracked by distractions)

  • Supporting product manager and customers’ technical staff by answering technical questions from customers and partnering with them to build integrations.

  • Driving mature documentation and support patterns that balance pragmatism with scalability and reliability

  • Shepherding quarterly planning process for the the integrations crew, including cataloging and managing our technical debt and making continuous improvements to ongoing areas of technical challenges

  • Participating in engineering incident response and applying high standards of stability and maintainability to the area of ownership

  • Managing projects by coordinating across product, design, and engineering, scoping tickets, unblocking engineers, and considering interactions with other parts of the product

  • Representing the integrations team’s abilities and growth opportunities to the rest of engineering and senior leadership

About You

This role is a great fit for an experienced player-coach who is excited to rapidly iterate and build new product, but who also takes pride in solid, maintainable, high-quality engineering output. If you want to be a part of a quickly scaling startup that is investing in improving our process and technology, this is the position for you.

What you’ve accomplished

  • Strong technical background, and proven track record of building APIs / integrations for complex customer-facing SaaS products (7+ years professional and management experience preferred)

  • Experience working with Github, CI/CD, AWS, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch, node.js/TypeScript (or a similar tech stack)

  • Experience in collaboration across timezones and effective leadership in a remote environment

  • Team player who enjoys learning, teaching, and collaboration

This is an entirely remote, full-time position for candidates who currently reside in Central or South America, currently prioritizing hires in Mexico, Colombia, and Chile. Commensurate with experience and location, the salary range for this position is between $75,000-$100,000 USD.
