At Kraken Grid, we’re passionate about building products that solve problems. Our grid monitoring and analytics platform supports grid operators and utilities.


Our technology platform offers data collection, analytics, and real-time monitoring services, including fault management, power quality, and power flow modelling, to Distribution System Operators (DSOs or DNOs) looking to digitally transform their operations. Our services enable full grid visibility, allowing operators to better and more efficiently predict, manage, and operate their infrastructure amidst the rapid integration of Decentralised Energy Resources.


We are seeking a dynamic product leader for our “Grid” solution portfolio, focusing on our cutting-edge analytics platform. In this role, you will oversee the entire product lifecycle, from gathering requirements to product launch. Your mission will be to deliver a comprehensive grid analytics platform that equips Distribution System Operators with crucial insights, enabling them to efficiently predict, manage, and operate their infrastructure amidst the rapid integration of Decentralised Energy Resources.


What you'll do
  • Work with customers and other parts of the business (Sales, Account Management, Global Product) to understand and shape requirements to feed into the product backlog and longer-term roadmap.
  • Work with the development team to shape the high-level roadmap and prioritise feature development across the platform.
  • In collaboration with the development team, write user stories, high level user journey and business process flow charts and conduct ongoing user acceptance testing, product quality sign-off, and product documentation.
  • Collaborate with development teams to bring innovation and key differentiators into products.
  • Write newsletter and blog updates to keep customers informed of new features being developed/launched.
  • Work with Customer Delivery and Business development team in building up client’s proposal or answering RFP.
  • Drive the delivery of the roadmap by supporting the work of the development team using agile tooling, running ceremonies (retrospective, planning, discovery, demos…) and acting as facilitator with other teams to remove dependencies or clarify issues.
  • Coordinate across our multiple long-standing product teams to proactively manage dependencies and drive cross team collaboration to deliver the project outcomes.
  • Use analytics data and first-hand research to understand user behaviours and inform product and design improvements.
  • Understand and follow market trends and competition.


What you'll need
  • Experience of working within Distribution system operation environments.
  • Experience in agile software product management; from inception, requirement gathering, and prioritisation through to launch.
  • Experience in managing an agile roadmap with multiple stakeholders, and championing cross-functional team work to identify the best solutions and best delivery path.
  • Hands-on experience in developing state of the art analytical solutions.
  • Proficient with innovative technologies such as AI.
  • Outstanding facilitation skills & being comfortable managing client or product workshops, from discovery to detailed requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills showing the ability to summarise complex problems and recommend concise plans of action, translating for non-technical audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done.
  • Background in data analytics / big data management
  • Experience in UX & UI design is desirable.
  • A passion for clean tech and a strong desire to contribute to the decarbonization of the planet is crucial.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with the US market specifics is a plus
