Software Engineer- Containerized Applications (Secret Cleared)
Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Software Engineer with expertise in containerized applications to join our dynamic team. This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining software applications that leverage containerization technologies. The ideal candidate will have experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and modern DevOps practices to deliver scalable, efficient, and secure solutions. This position is 80% remote and requires an active Secret clearance or higher.
- Application Development:
- Design, build, and deploy containerized applications using technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, and related tools.
- Develop microservices-based architectures to support scalable and modular application development.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Containerization & Orchestration:
- Implement and maintain containerized environments for development, testing, and production.
- Utilize Kubernetes for orchestration, scaling, and management of containerized workloads.
- Optimize container performance, security, and resource utilization.
- DevOps Integration:
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate CI/CD pipelines for containerized applications.
- Develop infrastructure-as-code (IaC) solutions for deploying and managing containerized services.
- Monitor and troubleshoot deployment and runtime issues in containerized environments.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, QA engineers, and system architects, to deliver high-quality software.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
- Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in containerization and cloud-native development.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve system performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to a culture of innovation and learning.
