Your job is more than a jobAs a leader in the Revenue Cycle, this position contributes to LCMC Health's financial strength, compliance and overall performance by serving in a supervisor's capacity for Coding and Coding Compliance functions. The Supervisor, System Coding is a Coding Professional with a high level of clinical proficiency necessary for the oversight of the coding department and is responsible for the overall supervision, management and daily operations and delivery of coding services. This individual must have proven supervisory skills to promote effective, efficient, and compliant assignment of charge capture diagnosis and procedure codes which support the patient's level of can and appropriate assignment of DRG. This individual is responsible for supervising daily coding processes, payroll, and scheduling of personnel.Your EverydayResponsible for the daily coding schedules to assure all coding work queues and edit/denial work queues are processed as required.Responsible for Time/attendance and all payroll functions of coding staff .Responsible for monitoring. and reporting coder productivity on weekly, monthly, andyearly basis.Assures productivity reports are available for coder initial and annual evaluations.Assesses all secondary coding reviews are directed to appropriate LCMC coding staff.Ensures all reviews are resolved within the required time frame.Assists with coding related projects as assigned by LCMC coding leadershipAssists with coding related -policies and procedures as assigned by LCMC coding leadership.The Must-HavesMinimum:EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS4 years of coding experiencePrevious supervisory experience preferred.EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONSHigh School diploma or equivalentPreferred: Bachelor's or Associate's degree in health information management, medical records administration, health services administration or health sciences, or other related fieldLICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONSCertification Name: RHIT, RHIA, CCS, CIC, or COCSKILLS AND ABILITIES• Knowledge as it relates to, but not limited to, electronic health record, health information.systems and healthcare applications and ti1eir effects on Coding practices today and in the future.• High ethical standards.• Knowledge of ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT/HCPS, MS-DRG, APR-DRG and APC coding guidelines.• Knowledge of medical terminology, classifications systems and vocabularies.• Knowledge of privacy and security regulations, confidentiality, laws, access and release of information practices.• Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills.• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.• Ability to organize and set priorities to ensure objectives are met in a timely manner.• Ability to adapt to change and handle challenges proactively and with pose.• Ability to effectively collabore:1te with physicians, hospital department and ancillary services at all levels.WORK SHIFT:Days (United States of America)LCMC Health is a community.Our people make health happen.
