Your job is more than a job.The Senior Director of Financial Planning & Analysis is responsible for leading financial planning and analysis activities across the organization. Plays an integral role in preparing the operating budget along with required support schedules and contributing in the month-end general ledger close process by preparing a myriad of variance analysis schedules. Partners cross-functionally to support the creation of financial projections, financial models to facilitate capital planning and operating model decisions. Oversees multiple avenues such as decision support, cost accounting, financial planning and analysis including budget planning, forecasting, labor management, productivity assessments, etc.GENERAL DUTIESOversees and manages the continued development of budgeting, financial forecasting, operating plan and modeling tools for the organization.Develops annual strategic plan for assigned service line; evaluates department's status in achieving set objectives and makes necessary changes based upon evaluation in a timely manner.Advises the business on how to improve performance, minimize risk, and maximize opportunities through creation and delivery of key performance indicators and various dashboard reporting.Plans and coordinates annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes. Identifies current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of revenue, and capital expenditures highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variances.Works closely with the accounting function to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial statements.Identifies and shares trends, potential business/service line opportunities, and makes recommendations for action. Directs the timely and accurate preparation of internal financial and analytical reports. Develops and directs contribution margin analytics and service line analytics.Partners with the cross-functional leadership teams to develop and implement programs designed to promote organization’s mission.Allocates adequate resources, information systems and data management processes for measuring, assessing, and improving the hospital's performance and for improving patient safety. Collaborates with customers (internal & external) to provide appropriate information based upon data request to meet end-user needs/performance improvement objectives.Develops positive employee/supervisor relations and fully promotes teamwork as well as cross training of staff to develop staff.EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONSA minimum of 10 years of experience directly related to the specific duties and responsibilities of the position will be considered in lieu of education requirement.Experience in using a hospital-based decision support system.Solid experience in report development.Experience in the Hospital Business Planning process and Operating Budgets.Direct experience with the following applications:Strata Decision Technology• Kaufmann Hall Axiom• Premier Operations Advisor• Tableau• WorkdayEDUCATION QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s DegreWORK SHIFT:Days (United States of America)LCMC Health is a community.Our people make health happen.
