Leidos is seeking a Leidos is seeking a Research Assistant to work with intramural human use research at the Naval Medical Research Unit Dayton, OH, specifically focused on Human Factors, Kinesiology, Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, Biomechanics, and Physiology. Begin your journey of a flourishing and meaningful career, share your resume with us today!The Challenge:• Assist with research process across the project's lifecycle, including but not limited to reviewing literature, performing pilot testing, preparing research protocols, developing experimental procedures, screening and scheduling participants, and collecting, managing, and analyzing data• Provide planning and research support to various research projects• Developing standard operating procedures for laboratory instrumentation and equipment• Clean and maintain instrumentation, equipment, and laboratories• Assist with development of presentations and publications including literature searches and preparing bibliographies• Monitor supply inventory and replenish stocks through established Command supply procedures• Maintain laboratory instrumentation, equipment, and spacesWhat Sets You Apart:• Bachelor’s degree with 0-2+ years of relevant experience with a major in the kinesiology/physiology umbrella preferred (Kinesiology, Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, Biomechanics, and Physiology). May also consider other STEM degrees which provide a good foundation for research, such as Human Factors, Biology, Psychology, or Mathematics• *DYou Might Also Have:• Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of relevant work• Previous time spent in a military or medical research environment is highly desired• Experience with human subject research• Familiarity with physiology and engineering• Familiarity with motion capture, surface EMG, force plate, inertial measurement unit, near infrared spectroscopy, or other biomechanics/ergonomics/human performance systems is preferred but not requiredOriginal Posting Date:2024-07-16While subject to change based on business needs, Leidos reasonably anticipates that this job requisition will remain open for at least 3 days with an anticipated close date of no earlier than 3 days after the original posting date as listed above.Pay Range:Pay Range $37,050.00 - $66,975.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
