LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a Grand Rapids company seeking an Accountant to join their team. This position will work closely with the Controller.Responsibilities:• Maintain a precise and up-to-date general ledger. Prepare financial statements and reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.• Manage and update the chart of accounts to ensure all financial data is categorized correctly for reporting and analysis.• Handle billing, monitor incoming payments, and manage overdue accounts to secure timely receivables.• Execute accurate journal entries that properly reflect the financial activities of the company.• Manage the receipt and processing of all incoming funds, ensuring all cash receipts are documented correctly.• Oversee company expenses and periodic accruals, ensuring that all financial transactions are recognized in the appropriate periods.• Work closely with the inventory department to monitor and report on inventory levels and valuation.• Process payroll accurately, maintaining proper records for wages, deductions, and taxes.Qualifications:• 3-5 years of accounting experience• Strong problem solving skills and ability work independently• Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)Salary Range: 60-65k
