Get to know the role


  • Job Title: Licensing Coordinator
  • Job Summary: The Licensing Team is responsible for creating and executing a range of activities, including (but not limited to) Product Licensing, Retail/Trade Marketing for Licensed Products, and Brand Partnership Promotions to increase the visibility of the Pokémon brand across the globe.
  • Within this team, this role will be responsible for developing Pokémon licensed products to ensure a strong presence at retail across several markets – working alongside the Brand Services and Retail Marketing Team.
  • In conjunction with growing and managing the Pokémon licensing program in the region, the role will also be responsible for initiating relevant retail marketing programs and brand partnerships that support the full range of Pokémon products.

What you’ll do


  • Product Approvals: Review approvals system daily for assigned Licensees. Update managers on items submitted and needing attention.
  • Marketing Approvals: Review, route, and track marketing submissions across internal teams. Work with managers to ensure that marketing is inline with business plans and moves smoothly through approval process.
  • Retail Placement: Stay on top of product launches and retail placement through the creation of a current retail placement report for key accounts.
  • Legal Support: Track progress of contract renewals and amendments. Partner with Legal/Contract Administration to ensure Softlines partners have Manufacturing Agreements and/or Customs Letters in place in a timely fashion. Support Legal team efforts to remove unauthorized product from e:commerce sites.
  • Event Planning & Tradeshows: Participate and assist with the planning and attendance of annual Licensing Summits, Licensing Show, Toy Fair and other trade shows and events to ensure all events are turn-key. Manage Licensing team meeting calendar and licensing presentations that support TPCi's strategic direction and goals.
  • Licensee Liaison: Aggregate and communicate monthly new product launch report to internal Pokemon stakeholders. Deliver consolidated licensing team communications to external partners (forecast timelines, PR announcements, business updates, etc.).
  • Benchmarking: Research products, brands, and companies for new business opportunities and preparation of strategic plans.
  • Trend Research: Conduct primary and secondary research to identify relevant trends impacting Softlines, and present opportunities to the Licensing team on a quarterly basis.
  • Contractual Product Samples: Manage flow of contractual samples from Softlines licensees. This includes unpacking boxes, distributing samples across teams and organizing the samples room.

               

What you’ll bring


  • Three (3) to four (4) years of related professional experience.
  • Bachelors degree required.
  • Proven track record of success.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to interact well with a variety of work groups.
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively.
  • Interest in improving processes
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Base salary range: $82,000-$122,000. This range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. For this role, new hires generally start between $82,000 – $96,900.00. Final base salary is directly related to each candidates' qualifications and professional experience uniquely.
